The Denver Broncos and Vance Joseph opened up their 2024 season by trotting out the worst September defense in NFL history. During that stretch, they also authored arguably the worst single-game defensive performance in NFL history.
It was a pit few, if any, have ever reached.
And yet, at season’s end, the Denver Broncos were a respectable defense according to most metrics.
Is that merely that product of some remarkable turnover luck, or did Vance Joseph fix the Denver Broncos’ defense?
